Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA), Sino-American Culture & Arts Foundation and New York Mets held a press conference on Sep. 18th about “An Evening of Chinese Culture” taking place Wednesday, September 26th at Citi Field during the Mets-Pirates game. On Sep. 26th at New York Mets Citifield, there will be a Chinese Culture event just in time for Moon Festival and National Holiday.

“An Evening of Chinese Culture” will be held at the Citi Field, New York in conjunction with September 26th New York Mets Baseball Game. This event is co-hosted by the Sino-American Culture & Arts Foundation (SACAF), the Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA), the New York Mets and the Chinese Communities of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Taking place on September 26th, 2012 during the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most celebrated and recognized holidays in Chinese culture, “An Evening of Chinese Culture” will be a showcase featuring Chinese dances and music including Dragon Dance eye-dotting opening ceremony, Chinese Dragon performance and Girls Dragon Dance during pre-game time by American and Chinese artists.

Prior to the opening ceremony, a unique, high profile VIP reception will bring together the American and Chinese business executives and community leaders to highlight the event’s impact and recognize the communities’ efforts to foster the mutual understanding between American and Chinese through the arts and culture. VIP guests are invited by executives from Sino-American Friendship Association and the New York Mets.
