Sino-American Friendship Association and Fujian Southeast Net U.S Channel Cooperation

U.S Channel of China Fujian Southeast Net held an Opening Ceremony on December 2, 2012 in Fuzhou, China. The Fujian Southeast Net is the official online press agency under the leadership of Fujian Daily and it’s the largest media center for collecting information and press conferences in Fujian China. The opening ceremony also announced the collaboration between Sino-American Friendship Association and China Fujian Southeast Net in the U.S.

Rongxiang Yuan, member of Provincial party committee and Minister of propaganda; Hong Li, Vice chairman of Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee; Peter Zhang, President of Sino-American Friendship Association participated in the ceremony. Fujian Southeast Net has been one of the greatest supporters of Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA) and has participated in SAFA major events in the New York communities, especially media coverage of SAFA’s the fourth Annual 2012 An Evening of Chinese Culture with Mets at Citi Field in September 2012. Moreover, since its business service extended to U.S., Fujian Southeast Nets is a great tool to connect U.S.A to China, and hundreds of thousands of Chinese business executives and over 800,000 Chinese Fujian immigrants in greater New York area and east coast of U.S.A could be benefit from the services of Fujian Southeast Nets online. Governor of New York, Andrew M. Cuomo; Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie; Governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Corbett and Mayor of New York City, Michael R. Bloomberg sent greeting messages to Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA) to the opening ceremony. NJ governor Chris Christie said in his congratulations letter, he had strong confident that the new American branch of Fujian Southeast Net would strengthen the communication between China and U.S. He also mentioned that the valuable work of Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA) had done with organizations such as Fujian Southeast Net to develop enriching programs and events that promotes Chinese heritage and foster mutual respect and understanding between people with different backgrounds. Mayor Bloomberg stated that New York City was looking forward U.S Channel of China Fujian Southeast Net to providing Chinese residents with vital news and insights.
