On December 3rd, the inaugural "Prominent Calligraphers and Painters from Fujian into the United Nations Invitational Exhibition” and reception were held at the Sanfang Qixiang, a historic and cultural area in the city of Fuzhou. Some of the distinguished calligraphers and painters from Fujian Province were invited to showcase their exceptional talents on the spot, leaving the eagerly awaiting audience in awe and amazement.

This event is jointly hosted by the Sino-American Friendship Association (SAFA) and China Educational Channels (CEC).SAFA and CEC will invite some outstanding calligraphers and painters from Fujian Province to the United Nations to participate in a joint art exhibition in early to mid-2012. This exhibition aims to facilitate interactive exchanges with global dignitaries and artists to enhance the international recognition and influence of culture and arts from Fujian, China.
