June 26, 2017, US-Sichuan Agriculture and Markets Development Conference hosted by Sino-American Friendship Association, Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council was held in New York's Manhattan. Vice Director-General of Sichuan Provincial Agricultural Department, Zhang Qiang; U.S. Small Business Administration New York District Office Economic Development Specialist, Man-Li Lin; President of Sino-American Friendship Association, Peter Zhang, and Secretary General Wang Yi attended and addressed this event. More than 100 honored guests attended this conference, including Executive Director of the Pacific Asia Travel Association's New York Chapter, Simone Bassous and other representatives from relevant sectors in the U.S., the entrepreneurs of China and the United States, officials from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council, Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture, and the Municipal Government of Bazhou. Guests communicated with each other about numerous topics over food, restaurant management, agriculture, agricultural production technology, animal husbandry and others. Moreover, this event served as a platform which contributed to increasing exchanges and strengthening cooperation between China and the United States.
